Last Updated: December 22, 2025
Our Commitment: XOCOACH.AI is committed to providing a safe, secure, and age-appropriate learning environment for all users, especially children. This Safeguarding Policy outlines the comprehensive measures we have implemented to protect young athletes online.
1. Safeguarding Principles
XOCOACH.AI operates under these core safeguarding principles:
- Child Safety First: The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority
- Age-Appropriate Content: All content is tailored to the specified age level
- Proactive Prevention: Multiple layers of filtering to prevent harmful content
- Transparency: Clear communication with parents, teachers, and users about safety measures
- Continuous Improvement: Regular review and enhancement of safeguarding practices
- Regulatory Compliance: Full compliance with UK safeguarding standards and the Children's Code
2. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to:
- All users under 18 years old: Children and young people using XOCOACH.AI
- Parents and guardians: Adults supervising children's use of the Service
- Teachers and schools: Educational institutions using XOCOACH.AI with athletes
- XOAI LTD: Our responsibilities as the service provider
3. Content Safety Framework
3.1 Multi-Layer Content Filtering
XOCOACH.AI employs a comprehensive three-layer filtering system to ensure content safety:
Layer 1: Pre-Generation Filtering (Request Blocking)
Before any AI content is generated, user requests are analyzed for:
- Prohibited topics (weapons, violence, drugs, adult content, self-harm, illegal activities)
- Age-inappropriate subjects for the specified age level
- Attempts to bypass safety measures
- Harmful or dangerous information requests
Result: Harmful requests are blocked immediately with an age-appropriate explanation to the user.
Layer 2: AI Safety Instructions (Generation Guidance)
All AI generation includes strict safety instructions:
- Generate only educational, age-appropriate content
- Avoid sensitive topics inappropriate for the age level
- Use positive, encouraging language
- Focus on learning objectives suitable for the specified age
- Refuse to generate harmful content even if filtering fails
Result: The AI is instructed to prioritize safety in all generated content.
Layer 3: Post-Generation Review (Content Validation)
After content is generated, it undergoes automated review for:
- Presence of prohibited keywords or topics
- Age-appropriateness of language and concepts
- Potential safety concerns that passed through previous filters
- Quality and educational value
Result: Content that fails validation is not shown to the user; a safe alternative is generated instead.
